Seismic Performance Assessment of Water Distribution Systems Based on Multi-Indexed Nodal Importance

Seismic performance assessment of water distribution systems (WDSs) based on hydraulic simulation is essential for resilience evaluation WDSs under earthquake disasters. The mainly to determine how the supply will be affected due pipe breaks caused by earthquake, with loss estimated nodes. Existing research works usually use average or overall metric all user nodes as system indicator without considering nodes’ individual and criticality. This paper proposes a framework evaluate importance post-earthquake rescue service seismic in WDS, which supports pipeline renovation plan improve critical evaluated multi-index model, including indices daily service, network topology influence These terms their roles emergent transmission other nodes, respectively.
